WARM SEASON AT THE GALAPAGOS
The Galapagos Islands are an exempt spot around the world that can be visited at any time of the year. From December to May is considered the "Warm season”. The climate is more tropical, the sun shines strongly, with daily rain and cloudier skies. Even the moments of rain, are regularly followed by sun. As the rains fade away, flowers start to blossom and the islands view to turn to an amazing landscape of bright colors.
It´s the perfect season for observing the Galápagos renowned wildlife. Birds commonly mate during these months, and from March to May, you may even spot baby sea lions or sea turtles crowding the seaboard.
The ocean temperature is warmer, so it´s a very pleasant season to enjoy activities like swimming, and snorkeling. Also for divers, as the sea is calmer, underwater the visibility is really great. Also, you will have a lower possibility of getting seasick aboard.
To complement the best experience at the Galapagos, it´s recommended for outdoor activities, to use enough sunscreen with a high Sun Protection Factor (SPF); 30 and above is a good standard for the equatorial sun.
